Hailing from Richmond, Virginia, Dr. Tobias Keene brings a bit of unabashed Southern hospitality to all his patients. He moved to Washington, D.C. over thirty years ago as a freshman at Ivy College. Right after graduation, he attended World University’s School of Dentistry. Before opening Keene Dental in 1994, he worked for free clinics and some of the finest practices in the District. He is part of the 123 Dental Association and stays up-to-date on the latest dental discoveries. As a James Beard WEL fellow, Entreprenista 100 winner, and a founding member of the Cherry Bombe Bombesquad, Codi’s leadership within Bates Co. has driven the growth of its diverse ventures. Since 2009, Bates Co. has operated The Burger Stand at the Casbah, Bon Bon, Taco Zone Catering and the Cider Gallery, a fine art gallery and event space in Lawrence, Kansas. Codi is passionate about the power of bringing people together, foster community and support meaningful connections. Her love of travel combined with the power of the hospitality industry allows her to engage with other communities and learn more about the world.
